Updating Hardware with Spray Paint

If you've been following along with us for a while, you know how much I love a can of spray paint!  It can change the look of something in a matter of minutes.  My husband has been wanting to paint our interior doors black for a long time now, like the picture below.

I'm in love with black interior doors, but I'm just not sure if it works for our current home, so I made a compromise and painted our current chrome hardware black.  I figured I could start small and go big later.  Here is a picture of our down stairs hallway which leads to our utility closet, the trash closet to your right and the powder room to your left.

We decided to go with Rust-Oleum Metallic Paint + Primer in black, along with Rust-Oleum's self etching primer.  I sanded down the hardware a bit before putting on the primer.  I allowed the primer to get good and dry before I started to paint.  Let's just say taking off all of the hardware and putting it all back on was the hardest part of this project, but it was well worth it!  Now, the question is...do we continue this journey and paint our interior doors black or stay with the white?  I would love your feedback.
